This is a great time of year to come visit us at Wilderness Whitetails. The rut is in full swing and the action we're seeing from the blinds is something to see. Our 30 year whitetail management program has paid off in both quality and quantity. When we say that our preserve boasts North Americas largest Whitetails, we mean it. This morning we had two hunters from Houston, TX fly in. Here is what one of our hunters said about the morning hunt:
"As the sun came up and we could start to see the pasture, we could see a couple does feeding. I made out a couple bucks standing in the pines about 150 yards out. Within about 30 minutes, the pasture just came alive with activity. We watched a couple bucks sparing. Then a smaller buck came out and was chasing a doe across the pasture. This was until one of the Wilderness Whitetail monsters showed up and chased him off. This buck must have been pushing 300" just an amazing buck. For the next couple hours hours we saw a bunch of deer and watched similar scenes play out. I had an opportunity on the type of deer I was looking for but decided to stay patient and see what the afternoon hunt would bring. It was a great morning in the stand. This is exactly why I come to Wilderness Whitetails year after year."
