The work at Wilderness Whitetails never ends, but mid August it gets really fun too. In addition to planting food plots, putting up new stands and running the trail cameras, this time of year we spend a lot of time scouting. Wilderness Whitetails preserve is made up of over 1000 acres of pristine Northern Wisconsin forest, peppered with wetlands and open prairie. There is plenty of room for the sneakiest bucks to hide and roam.
Scouting is the key to our success. Our guides are dedicated to helping hunters achieve a world class buck. To do this we need to know the habits of the bucks as they traverse the preserve. This also helps us choose the right area and stands that will produce the type of buck you are looking for. Interested in hunting a huge typical? Or maybe you're looking for a massive, unique non-typical? Our guides have spent countless hours scouting and preparing trail cameras in order to put you on the buck that you've looking for.
If you have a group or are planning a corporate hunt, Wilderness Whitetails has got you covered. Our lodges can accommodate large groups and have all the amenities you could ask for. Wifi, satellite TV, private bathrooms, fully stocked bar and kitchen and home cooked meals. Give us a call for details and available dates.
The hunt of my lifetime...
“A childhood friend of mine, who is now a cardiologist, is a very avid hunter, as am I. We have been hunting together since we were kids. My friend went to the Safari Club show, where he met Greg and Shorty Flees of Wilderness Whitetails. When he came back he said, "I think I have found a home run!" He told me about Wilderness Whitetails and all of the work and knowledge these guys had put into the Whitetail hunting industry.
"Having heard of the Flees name, I told him to book us a hunt. The Flees reputation has all been understated. From my first hunt with the Flees family, it has been nothing but the upmost of memorable experiences. Last year I had the privilege and pleasure, with my friend to take our families on a vacation-hunting trip during Thanksgiving weekend. My daughter killed the dream buck of her lifetime. My son killed the buck of his lifetime. My friend and his entire family, his son-in-law and I all bagged trophy Whitetails. So to describe my Wilderness Whitetails experience -- it was not only a memorable experience, it was definitely the hunt of my lifetime. I do not see how there could be anything better.”
